Rehabilitasyon sa dalawang flood control structures sa Samar, natapos na – DPWH
Nakumpleto na ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) ang rehabilitasyon nito sa dalawang flood control structures sa Gandara River sa Samar.
Ayon kay DPWH Samar First District Engineer Alvin A. Ignacio, P30-million ang inilaang pondo para sa dalawang proyekto.
Bahagi ng proyekto ang 225-linear meter upstream at 225-linear meter downstream flood control structures sa Brgy. Ngoso.
Isinailalim sa rehabilitasyon ang istraktura dahil ang dating flood control structure ay hindi na kinakaya ang volume ng tubig kapag nakararanas ng malakas na buhos ng ulan sa lugar.
Dahil dito, binabaha ang mga kalapit na bahay sa naturang barangay.
Sa ilalim ng proyekto, pinalawak ang catchment at inayos ang flood control structure para maiwasan ang pagbaha.
