1,000 pulis, magbabantay sa Pasay City sa APEC week
Isang libong pulis ang idedeploy ng Pasay City Police para sa APEC leaders meeting ngayong buong linggo.
Ayon kay Pasay City police chief Senior Supt. Joel Doria, dinamihan nila ang ipapakalat na mga pulis dahil karamihan sa APEC venues ay matatagpuan sa Pasay City.
Idedeploy aniya ang mga police personnel sa Mall of Asia Arena at Philippine International Convention Center o PICC.
Dagdag ni Doria, mahigpit nilang ipatutupad ang ‘no rally, no permit’ rule.
Sinabi pa ni Doria na mayroong rescue teams ang Pasay City Police na handang rumesponde sa emergency situations.
Samantala sa Makati City, nasa anim na raang traffic enforcers ang idedeploy bilang bahagi ng security measures para sa APEC week.
Ayon kay Makati City Mayor Kid Peña, ang mga naturang traffic enforcer ay tutulong din sa pagtiyak ng seguridad at traffic management sa mga rutang dadaanan maging sa mga hotel na tutuluyan ng mga delegado ng APEC.
