Bagong SC associate justice napili na ni Pangulong Duterte
Nakapili na si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ng papalit sa binakanteng puwesto ng nagretirong si Chief Justice Teresita Leonardo de Castro.
Pinili ng pangulo para maging bagong associate justice ng Korte Suprema si Court of Appeals Associate Justice Rosmari Carandang.
Si Carandang na pangatlong pinaka-senior na mahistrado sa CA at pang-181 na justice ng SC.
Nagtapos ito ng abogasya sa University of the Philippines at pang-pito sa bar exam noong 1975.
Siya rin ang pangpitong appointee ni Duterte sa Korte Suprema.
Kabilang sa mga naunang appointee ng pangulo sa SC sina Associate Justices Noel Tijam, Andres Reyes, Jr., Alexander Gesmundo, Jose Reyes, Jr., at Ramon Paul Hernando.
