Inimpound ng Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) ang isang van na mayroong number 8 protocol plate na para lamang sa mga kongresista.
Ayon kay Chief Supt, Roberto Fajardo, director ng PNP-HPG, nakumpiska ang Hyundai Starex sa Domestic Road sa Pasay City malapit sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
Nang suriin aniya ay walang maiprisintang dokumento ang van kaya inimpound ito para sa beripikasyon at presentasyon ng kaukulang mga dokumento.
Ang paghuli sa mga sasakyan na may No. 8 plate ay kasunod ng viral video ni Jojo Valerio na ang sasakyan na may naturang plaka ay sangkot sa road rage incident sa Pampanga.
Una nang sinabi ni Fajardo na wala ng inilabas ang Land Transportation Office (LTO) ng bagong number 8 protocol plates mula noong 16th Congress.
Babala ni Fajardo, ilegal na ang paggamit ng nasabing plaka kaya makukumpiska ang sasakyan at may multang P5,000.
