CNN reporter inalisan ng karapatang mag-cover sa White House

Sinuspinde ng White House ang press pass ng senior political reporter ng CNN na si Jim Acosta.

Ito ay makalipas ang kanilang mainit na sagutan ni US President Donald Trump sa isang press conference.

“The White House is suspending the hard pass of the reporter involved until further notice,” ayon sa inilabas na pahayag ni White House Spokesman Sarah Sanders.

Nag-ugat ang pagtatalo nang magtanong kay Trump si Acosta kaugnay sa ginawang caravan ng ilang migrants malapit sa US border.

Bago ang pagtatanong CNN reporter ay nakatuon sa katatapos na midterm election ang tema ng press conference.

Bagaman sinagot ni Trump ang mga naunang tanong ni Acosta ay kaagad rin niya itong pinaupo pero tumanggi ang mamamahayag.

Dito na sila nagpalitan ng salita kung saan ay tinawag ni Trump na “enemy of the people” si Acosta.

Dagdag pa ni Trump, “”I’ll tell you what, CNN should be ashamed of itself having you working for them. You are a rude, terrible person. You shouldn’t be working for CNN.”

Ilang beses ring tinangka ng ilang tauhan ng White House na pigilin sa pagsasalita si Acosta pero ito ay tumanggi hanggang sa kunin sa kanya ang hawak na mikropono.

Buwelta ni Acosta, “Secretary Sanders lied…the press pass suspension was “done in retaliation for challenging questions.”

Nanindigan naman ang Washing Press Corps na dapat bawiin ang ginawang suspension sa press pass ni Acosta.

Sinabi rin ng grupo na hindi dapat gamitan ng dahas ang isang mamamahayag na gumaganap lamang sa kanyang tungkulin.
