Pamamaslang sa Ozamiz City RTC executive judge kinundena ng CHR

Mariing kinundena ng Commission on Human Rights (CHR) ang pamamaslang kay Ozamiz City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Executive Judge Edmundo Pintac.

Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ni CHR Spokesperson Jacqueline de Guia na nakababahala ang pamamaslang kay Pintac, lalo na’t siya ang humawak sa mga kaso laban kay Ozamiz City Vice Mayor Nova Princess Parojinog. Kabilang dito ang illegal possession of firearms and ammunition at possession of dangerous drugs.

Paalala ni de Guia, malaking papel ang ginagampanan ng hudikatura upang matiyak ang hustisya at mapanatili ang rule of law.

Hinimok ng CHR ang pamahalaan na agarang aktuhan ang patuloy na pagtaas ng bilang ng mga napapatay na mayroong kaugnayan sa kampanya kontra sa iligal na droga.

Pagtitiyak naman ng komisyon, magsasagawa sila ng kanilang sariling imbestgasyon tungkol sa pananambang kay Pintac.
