Atty. Macalintal kinumpirmang tatakbo sa pagka-Senador sa 2019
Kinumpirma ng beteranong election lawyer na si Atty. Romulo Macalintal na siya ay tatakbo sa pagka-Senador sa 2019 midterm elections.
Sa panayam ng INQUIRER.net, sinabi ni Macalintal na nais niyang maging isang independent candidate ngunit magiging guest candidate ng coalition party ni Vice President Leni Robredo.
Ang abogado ay ang legal counsel ni Robredo sa electoral protest na inihain ni dating Senador Bongbong Marcos laban sa bise presidente.
Sa kasalukuyan, mayroon pa lang tatlong tiyak na kandidato ang Liberal Party para sa 2019 elections.
Ito ay sina Senador Bam Aquino, Atty. Jose Manuel Diokno at dating Quezon Rep. Erin Tañada.
