Ph, Malaysia magsasawa ng 4-day naval drills sa Cavite

Magkakaroon ng naval drills ang Pilipinas at Malaysia ngayong linggo.

Layon ng naval drills na mapaigting ang interoperability at kahandaan ng parehong bansa sa anumang maritime emergency.

Tatagal ng apat na araw ang maritime training activity ng Philippine Navy at Royal Malaysian Navy sa Sangley Point Naval Base sa Cavite.

Ayon kay Navy Fleet Commander Rear Adm. Danilo Rodelas, dapat ipagpatuloy ang pagdepensa sa mga karagatan laban sa banta ng mga pirata at terorismo.

Dagdag pa nito, ang kooperasyon ng dalawang bansa ay para rin sa mga panahon ng kalamidad, relief operations at maritime search and rescue efforts.

Dumating ang KD Selangor ng Royal Malaysian Navy noong Linggo lulan ang 87 na crew member.
