Imbestigasyon sa paglabag sa human rights, itutuloy ng CHR
Itutuloy ng Commission on Human Rights (CHR) ang mga isinasagawang imbestigasyon sa umano’y paglabag sa karapatang pantao sa kampanya kontra ilegal na droga ng administrasyong Duterte.
Ito ay kasunod ng lumabas na resulta ng bagong Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey kung saan 78 percent sa mga Pilipino ang kuntento sa nasabing kampanya.
Ayon kay CHR chairman Jose Luis Martin “Chito” Gascon, hindi nito inaalala kung nakakatanggap ng suporta ang war on drugs ng publiko.
Mas importante aniya ang usapin ng rule of law at human rights at hindi ang popularidad ng kampanya.
Maliban sa war on drugs, tututukan din ang iba pang aksyon ng gobyerno alinsunod sa bill of rights at international human rights standards.
