Pulis, kapitan ng barko, 3 iba pa nakuhanan ng droga at mga armas, kinasuhan ng Coast Guard

Sinampahan na ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) ng kasong paglabag sa Dangerous Drugs Act at illegal possession of firearms ang isang kapitan ng barko, ilang tripulante at isang police colonel na naaresto habang sakay ng LCT Valentino Dos noong Setyembre 6 sa karagatang sakop ng Rosario, Cavite.

Tinukoy ni Coast Guard spokesman Armand Balilo ang mga suspek na sina Ship Captain Emmanuel Vicedo, P/Supt. Jose Matnao Liddawa Jr., mga crew na sina Ramil Archin, Erbert John De Juan, at Noel Keith Bernabat.

Noong Sept. 6, nagsagawa ng maritime patrol ang Coast Guard Station Cavite sa Multi-Role Response Vessel- 4406 (BRP Suluan), sa naturang barko at natuklasang sarado ang Automatic Identification System (AIS) nito.

Dahil dito, hinalughog ng boarding team ng MRRV kasama ang Coast Guard K9 NCR-CL at Coast Guard Anti-Terrorist Unit ang barko. Dito natuklasan na hindi kasama sa manipesto ang pasaherong si Liddawa.

Sa inspeksyon, nakuha ng team ang mga gamit sa paggamit ng shabu sa cabin ng tatlong crew.

Nakuha naman sa cabin ni Liddawa ang isang caliber 40 Jericho pistol at 5 basyo ng kalibre .45, at dalawang empty magazines ng M16 rifle.

Mayroon ding nakuhang dalawang hindi rehistradong armas.
