Mga aplikante sa bakanteng pwesto sa SC, isasalang sa public interview sa Sept. 26

Nagtakda na ang Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) ng petsa para sa public interview ng mga aplikante para sa posisyon sa Korte Suprema.

Sa anunsyo ng JBC, gagawin ang public interview sa September 26.

Ang bakanteng posisyon ay dahil sa pagkakahirang kay Associate Justice Samuel Martires bilang Ombudsman kapalit ni Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales na nagretiro noong July 26.

Paliwanag naman ni Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra, JBC ex-officio member, hindi na sasalang sa panayam ang mga aplikante na kamakailan lang ay sumailalim sa public interview.

Sa October 1, itinakda naman ng JBC ang botohan para sa mga mapapasama sa shortlist na isusumite kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte para pagpilian ng hihiranging bagong mahistrado ng Korte Suprema.

• Court of Appeals (CA) Associate Justice Apolinario Bruselas Jr.

• Court of Appeals (CA) Associate Justice Stephen Cruz
• Court of Appeals (CA) Associate Justice Japar Dimaampao
• Court of Appeals (CA) Associate Justice Amy Lazaro-Javier
• Court of Appeals (CA) Associate Justice Ramon Garcia
• Court of Appeals (CA) Associate Justice Edgardo Delos Santos
• Court of Appeals (CA) Associate Justice Ramon Paul Hernando
• Court of Appeals (CA) Associate Justice Mario Lopez
• Sandiganbayan Associate Justice Alexander Quiroz
