Pinakalamalaking warship ng Japan nasa bansa

Nasa Pilipinas ngayon ang pinakamalaking barkong pandigma ng Japan para sa limang araw na goodwill visit.

Dumaong sa Alava Wharf sa Subic Bay ang helicopter carrier na JS Kaga (DDH) 184 ng Japan Maritime Self Defense Force Escort Flotilla Four (JMSDF)

Escort ng naturang pinakalamaking warship ang Akizuki-class destroyer JS Suzutsuki (DD-117) at Murasame-class destroyer JS Inazuma (DD-105).

Ang pagbisita ng barkong pandigma sa bansa ay bahagi ng dalawang buwang pag-iikot sa South China Sea at Indian Ocean ayon kay Philippine Navy Public Affairs Office Director Commander Jonathan Zata.

Lulan ng warship ang 850 navy officers at crew ng Japan ayon kay PN Sealift Amphibious Force Commander Commodore Antonio Palces.

Ayon kay Palces, ang pagbisita ay layong mapalalim pa ang relasyon ng Philippine Navy at Japan Maritime Self Defense Force.
