Pagdinig sa P3.757T 2019 national budget itutuloy na ng Senado sa Martes

Nakatakda nang ituloy ng Senado sa Martes ang mga pagdinig sa panukalang P3.757 trilyong national budget para sa 2019.

Ito ay matapos ang naging gusot sa pagitan ng Kamara at Malacañan sa isyu ng cash-based budgeting at obligation-based budgeting policy ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM).

Ayon kay Sen. Loren Legarda na siyang chairman ng Senate Finance Committee, bukas, August 28, sisimulan nang usisain ng komite ang panukalang budget para sa 2019 ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) at attached agencies nito.

Bukod sa DFA ay sasailalim na rin sa pagdinig ang panukalang budget ng Civil Service Commission (CSC), Career Executive Service Board (CESB), National Youth Commission (NYC), Cooperative Development Authority, Bases Conversion Development Authority (BCDA), Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA), at ng Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).

Sa Huwebes naman ay tatalakayin ang panukalang budget ng Office of the President at ng Presidential Management Staff.

Iginiit ni Legarda ang nauna nang pahayag ni Senate President Tito Sotto na suportado ng Senado ang cash-based system na iminungkahi ng Palasyo.

Matatandaang mas gusto ng Kamara ang obligation-based budgeting scheme kaysa sa cash-based system.
