US Sen. John McCain piniling itigil na ang kanyang cancer treatment
Itinigil na ni U.S Sen. John McCain ang pagpapagamot sa kanyang sakit na brain cancer.
Naglabas ng advisory ang pamilya ng nasabing mambabatas at mas pinili ni McCain na pansamantalang iwan ang kanyang trabaho para makasama ang kanyang mga mahal sa buhay.
Ang 81-anyos na mambabatas na isa ring Vietnam war hero ay naging pambato ng Republican Party noong 2008 presidential elections kung saan ay tinalo siya ni Barrack Obama.
“Last summer, Senator John McCain shared with Americans the news our family already knew: he had been diagnosed with an aggressive glioblastoma, and the prognosis was serious. In the year since, John has surpassed expectations for his survival. But the progress of disease and the inexorable advance of age render their verdict. With his usual strength of will, he has now chosen to discontinue medical treatment,” ayon sa pahayag ng pamilya ni McCain.
Bumuhos naman ang mensahe para sa beteranong mambabatas mula sa iba’t ibang mga political personalities sa U.S.
Kahit na may sakit ay abala sa social media si McCain.
Kamakailan ay nag-tweet pa ang mambabatas na naglalaman ng mensahe tungkol sa kanyang buhay.
“I am able to celebrate a wonderful life and I will be grateful for additional time that I have,” ayon sa tweet ni McCain.
