Tourism Undersecretary Kat de Castro, tinanggal sa DOT at inilipat sa IBC 13

Tinanggal ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte si Department of Tourism (DOT) Undersecretary Katherine de Castro sa puwesto pero agad ding itinalaga bilang bagong miyembro ng board of directors ng Intercontinental Broadcasting Corporation o IBC 13.

Batay sa appointment paper na nilagdaan ng pangulo noong August 20, papalitan ni de Castro si Manolito Cruz na hindi natapos ang kanyang termino ng hanggang June 2019.

Papalit naman sa babakantehing pwesto ni de Castro si Edwin Ragos Enrile.

Matatandaang nabalot ng kontrobersiya si de Castro dahil sa magarbong pagbiyahe abroad at nadawit din sa P60 milyong maanomalyang kontrata ng DOT sa Bitag Media na pag-aari ng broadcaster na si Ben Tulfo. Si de Castro kasi ang namamahala noon sa bids and awards committee.

Samantala, itinalaga rin ng pangulo si Allan Nawal ang dating desk editor ng Mindanao Bureau ng Philippine Daily Inquirer bilang bagong miyembro ng board of directors ng Independent Realty Corporation and Mid-Pasig Land Development Corporation.

Ang naturang tanggapan ay nasa ilalim ng Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG).

Papalitan ni naman Nawal si Ronald Chua.
