Sumailalim sa surprise random drug test ang mga barangay official sa siyam na mga barangay sa Zamboanga City.
Ayon kay Liga ng mga Barangay President Jerry Perez, layunin ng naturang aktibidad na tiyaking hindi sangkot sa iligal na droga ang mga opisyal ng barangay.
Ani Perez, balak niyang ipagpatuloy ang surprise random drug testing sa nasabing lungsod.
Isinagawa ang drug test sa pakikipagtulungan sa City Anti-Drug Abuse Council, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), at Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
