NPA commander patay sa barilan sa Zamboanga Del Norte
Patay ang isang mataas na opisyal ng New People’s Army (NPA) habang sugatan ang isang sundalo sa engkwentro sa bayan ng Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte.
Kinilala ang nasawi na si Edwin Lapinig, alyas “Baz,” commander ng Platoon Basil of the Mobile Regional Guerilla Unit of the Western Mindanao Regional Party Committee of the New People’s Army.
Ayon sa AFP, may standing warrant of arrest laban kay Lapinig sa kasong multiple murder.
Si Lapinig ang itinuturong responsible sa pagpatay sa dalawang sundalo at pagkuha ng armas sa dalawang pulis sa Don Victoriano Chingbian sa Misamis Occidental.
Wanted din ito sa pagsunog sa construction equipment sa Zamboanga Peninsula.
