Field commands ng NPA tinanggihan ang localized peace talks ng pamahalaan
Ibinasura ng local revolutionary groups ang planong localized peace talks ng administrating Duterte.
Ayon sa Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP), kinondena ng field commands ng New People’s Army (NPA) at iba pang local revolutionary formations ang alok na peace talks ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
Sinabi ng CPP na ang naturang deklarasyon ay patunay na ang pagbasura sa localized peace negotiations ay hindi lamang galing sa National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) peace negotiators sa Netherlands.
Sa Northern Luzon, sinabi ng NPA-Venerando Villacillo Command (NPA-VCC) sa mga lalawigan ng Nueva Vizcaya at Quirino na hindi matutugunan ng localized peace talks ang ugat ng armed conflict.
Sa kanilang panig, sinabi ng Cordillera People’s Democratic Front (CPDF) na hindi ito sasama sa anumang localized peace talks sa gobyerno at patuloy na susuportahan ang NDFP negotiating panel.
Ang panukalang localized peace talks ay hindi rin tinanggap ng NPA-Celso Minguez Command sa Sorsogon, Bicol; NDFP-Negros Island at NDFP-Panay.
