Arroyo nakipag-dinner sa ilang obispo ayon sa Malacañang

Kinumpirma ng Malacañang na nakasama sa hapunan kahapon, araw ng Linggo ni dating Pangulong Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo ang may labingwalong obispo.

Ito ay isang araw bago ang pulong nina Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte at CBCP President at Davao Archbishop Romulo Valles.

Sinabi ni Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque na kasama rin siya sa nasabing dinner-meeting sa bahay ng pamilya Arroyo sa La Vista Subdivision sa Quezon City.

“It was a social dinner, although there were prayers said and there was, of course, a general consensus that the Church and State should work together in upholding the general welfare of the people,” ayon pa kay Roque.

Ipinaliwanag ni Roque na madalas na nakakasama ng dating pangulo sa ilang mga obispo bilang bahagi ng kanyang adbokasiya na paglapitn ang pamahalaan at simbahan.

Tumanggi naman ang Malacañang na sabihin kung sinong mga obispo ang present sa nasabing dinner kasama si Arroyo.

Si Roque ay bahagi ng 4-man team na binuo ng Malacañang para makipag-dayalogo sa mga opisyal ng Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP).

 

Ngayong Lunes ng hapon nakatakdang magharap sa isang pulong sina Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte at CBCP President Romulo Valles.
