OCD tiniyak ang kahandaan kay Typhoon Maria

Maghahanda ang Office of the Civil Defense (OCD) para sa posibleng maging epekto ng bagyong may international name na ‘Maria’ at tatawaging Gardo pagpasok ng bansa.

Sa panayam ng media, sinabi ni OCD Spokesperson Edgar Posadas na bagaman hindi direktang tatama ang sama ng panahon ay magpapatupad sila ng precautionary measures para rito.

Ayon kay Posadas, magsasagawa ng Pre-Disaster Risk Assessment (PDRA) ang OCD kasunod ng briefing ng PAGASA at Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) upang malaman ang dapat ihanda sa mga posibleng mangyari.

Patuloy anya silang makikipag-ugnayan sa mga regional officers.

Inaasahang papasok sa Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) ang bagyo ngayong araw.

Nauna nang sinabi ng PAGASA na hindi ito tatami sa kalupaan ngunit hahatakin nito ang habagat na magpapaulan sa western sections ng Luzon at Visayas.
