Pagbibigay ng employment permit sa mga dayuhan sa Boracay sinuspinde ng DOLE
Sinuspinde muna ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) ang pag-iisyu ng Alien Employment Permit (AEP) sa mga dayuhang manggagawa sa Boracay.
Sa Labor Advisory No. 11, series of 2018, sinabi ni Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III sakop ng temporary suspension ang mga dayuhan na magtatrabaho sa Boracay at ang mga mayroon nang AEPs noon at nais mag-renew.
Gayunman, ang mga dayuhan na mayroong otorisasyon mula sa Boracay Inter-Agency Task Force, at mga dayuhang nais magsagawa ng research kaugnay sa rehabilitasyon ng isla ay hindi naman sakop ng suspensyon.
Exempted din sa temporary suspension ang mga foreign nationals na permanent resident na sa Boracay at ang mga mayroong probationary o temporary resident visa.
Mananatili ang suspensyon sa pagbibigay ng AEP hanggang sarado pa ang isla.
