Pangungunahan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang pagdiriwang ng Labor Day ngayong araw (May 1) sa Mabolo Cebu City.

Ayon kay Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go, maliban sa job fair, isasagawa din sa event ang awarding ng livelihood projects na isa sa mga special program para sa employment ng mga estudyante at government internship program.
Target aniya ng administrasyon na mabigyan ng trabaho ang milyun-milyong Filipino na walang hanapbuhay.
Kasabay nito ibinida ni Go na na malaki na ang nabawas sa bilang ng mga unemployed Filipino dahil sa patuloy na pagsisikap ng Duterte administration na makahikayat ng mag investors sa bansa.
