BSP, inalerto ang mga bangko kasunod ng cyber-attack sa Malaysian central bank

Inalerto ng Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas ang mga local financial institutions kasunod ng nangyaring cyber attack sa Malaysian central bank.

Ayon kay BSP Governor Nestor Espenilla, sinubukang magnakaw ng pera ng mga hackers gamit ang fraudulent wire transfer sa naturang bansa.

Ayon sa Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), wala namang nakuhang pera sa insidente noong Martes.

Pinangungunahan ng BNM ang aabot sa 45 commercial banks sa Malaysia.

Napag-alamang mali ang nailagay na wire-transfer requests ng mga hackers sa SWIFT bank messaging network.

Hindi na rin sinabi ng Bank Negara kung sino ang nasa likod ng pang-hahack.

Sa ngayon, wala aniyang anumang natatanggap na banta ang BSP.
