Alert status ng Bulkang Mayon, ibinaba na sa level 2 ng PHIVOLCS
Ibinaba na ng Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) ang alert status ng Bulkang Mayon sa level 2.
Sa bulletin ng PHIVOLCS na inilabas Huwebes Santo ng umaga, ibinaba na ang alert status ng bulkan dahil sa nabawasan na ang pagpapakita nito ng aktibidad.
Kabilang sa nabawasan ay ang crater glow ng bulkan at mula noong March 18 ay hindi na muling nakapagtala ng lava effusion.
“The decline in observable surface parameters is consistent with the cessation of magma supply to the shallow levels of the volcanic edifice,” ayon sa PHIVOLCS.
Kaugnay nito inatasan na ni Albay Gov. Al Francis Bichara, ang lahat ng local government sa mga bayan ng Camalig, Guinobatan, Malilipot, at Tabaco City na pauwiin na ang mga evacuees.
Mayroon pa kasing nasa 1,300 na pamilya ang nananatili sa ilang evacuation centers sa Albay.
