Malacañang: National I.D system tiyak na magiging batas sa Hunyo

Tiniyak ng Malacañang na aaprubahan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte at magiging ganap na batas ang national I.D system bago mag sine die adjournment ang kongreso sa buwan ng Hunyo.

Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, sa ipinatawag na cabinet meeting ni Pangulong Duterte noong Marso 5 ay malakas ang consensus ng gabinete na kailangan na magkaroon ng national I.D system sa bansa.

“So, it will be submitted to the Palace. But I do not know if they have already a bicam. The next procedure is for the Senate and the House to reconcile both their respective versions, after which, it will be ratified by both houses”, ayon pa sa opisyal.

Bukod dito, sinabi ni Roque na nakapaloob na rin sa 2018 national budget ang national I.D system.

Umaabot sa P2 Billion ang pondong ang nakalaan para sa national I.D system gayunman, sinabi ni Roque na wala pa sa lamesa ng pangulo ang panukala dahil dadaan pa ito sa Bicameral Conference Committee ng dalawang kapulungan ng kongreso.

Nakasaad sa panukalang batas na bibigyan ng isang unique indetificaiton number ang bawat Filipino na magsisilbing number na rin sa Social Security System (SSS), Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (Philhealth), Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-ibig) at clearance application sa National Bureau of Investigation, Philippine National Police at maging sa mga hukuman.
