CJ Sereno kinasuhan sa DOJ dahil sa hindi pagsusumite ng SAL-N noong siya ay UP professor pa
Kinasuhan na sa Department of Justice (DOJ) si Supreme Court Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Ssereno kaugnay ng hindi umano nito pagsusumite ng kanyang statement of assets liabilities and networth (SAL-N).
Ang kasong paglabag sa Republic Act 6713 at Republic Act 3019 ay isinampa ni Atty. Larry Gadon dahil sa hindi nito paghahain ng SAL-N noong ito ay nagtuturo ng law sa University of the Philippines (UP).
Base sa nakuhang impormasyon ni Gadon mula sa UP, Ombudsman, at Judicial and Bar Council (JBC), mula nang maging law professor si Sereno sa UP mula 1986 hanggang 2006, naghain lang ito ng kanyang SAL-N noong 1998, 2002 at 2006.
Ayon kay Gadon, 17 taon na hindi nagsumite ng SAL-N si Sereno.
Una rito, sinampahan ni Gadon sa kamara si Sereno ng impeachment complaint.
