Ekonomiya ng bansa lumago sa 6.6% sa huling quarter ng 2017

Lumago sa 6.6% ang gross domestic product (GDP) ng bansa sa huling quarter ng taong 2017.

Malaking ambag sa paglago ng ekonomiya ang sektor ng industiya na nakapagtala ng 7.3 percent growth rate para sa 4th quarter ng 2017.

Habang 6.8% naman ang naitalang growth rate sa services sector.

Ayon kay National Statistician Lisa Grace Bersales, sa kabuuan ng taong 2017 ay nakapagtala ng 6.7% na paglago sa ekonomiya ng bansa.

Gayunman, ang 6.7% full-year GDP growth para sa taong 2017 ay mas mababa kumpara sa naitala noong 2016 na 6.9%.

Ayon naman kay National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) Director General and Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Ernesto Pernia, nananatili ang Pilipinas na isa sa mayroong fastest growing economy sa Asya.

Sumusunod ang Pilipinas sa China at Vietnam na nakapagtala ng 6.9% at 6.8% na growth rate.

Ang 2016 at 2017 economic growth rate aniya ng Pilipinas ay maituturing na “strong and steady” para sa 2018 target ng pamahalaan.
