Salitang ‘Love’ walang puwang sa panukalang federal charter
Maaaring buong bansa na ang makaramdaman kung paano mawalan ng pagmamahal.
Ito ay matapos imungkahi ng ‘Subcommittee 3’, o ‘House Subcommittee on Constitutional Amendments’ ang pag-aalis sa salitang ‘love’ sa preamble ng panukalang federal charter.
Sa pangunguna ni Leyte Representative Vicente ‘Ching’ Veloso ay inatasan ang subcommittee na i-review ang Preamble, Articles I, II, XVI, at XVIII ng kasalukuyang 1987 constitution.
Batay sa ulat ng komite, dapat tanggalin ang naturang salita sa Preamble dahil wala itong lugar sa konstitusyon.
Ganito ang magiging Preamble sakaling aprubahan ng Kongreso ang panukala.
“We, the sovereign Filipino people, imploring the aid of Almighty God, in order to build a just and humane society and establish a Government that shall embody our ideals and aspirations, promote the common good, conserve and develop our patrimony, and secure to ourselves and our posterity the blessings of independence and democracy under the rule of law and a regime of truth, justice, freedom, equality, and peace, do ordain and promulgate this Constitution,” bahagi ng ulat ng subcommittee.
Nais din ng komite na isama ang mga salitang ‘Federal Republic of the Philippines sa Preamble upang ipakita ang sidhi ng kagustuhan ng mga Filipino na mapalitan ang umiiral na sistema ng pamahalaan patungong ‘federalismo’.
Ang mga planong pag-amyendang ito ay tatalakayin sa panukalang Constituent Assembly na kabibilangan ng mga mambabatas mula Senado at Kongreso.
