Presyo ng commercial rice posibleng tumaas dahil sa limitadong suplay ng NFA rice
Aminado ang National food Authority (NFA) na posibleng maapektuhan ang presyo ng commercial rice sa merkado dahil sa limitadong suplay ng NFA rice sa kasalukuyan.
Ayon sa NFA, nasa 1.9 milyong sako na lamang ng bigas ang nasa kanilang inventory na katumbas ng tatlong araw na suplay.
Ayon sa ahensya, dahil dito ay inihinto na muna ng ahensya ang pagbebenta ng NFA rice sa mga accredited retailers sa Central Luzon, Western Mindanao at Western Visayas.
Ito ay para may magamit bilang standy-by relief supply na 700,000 sako ng bigas ang Department of Social Welfare and Development o DSWD sa mga panahon ng kalamidad.
Dahil sa kapos na suplay ng NFA rice at pagtaas ng presyo ng produktong petrolyo sa ilalim ng TRAIN Law, ay posibleng makaapekto ito sa presyo ng commercial rice.
Upang mapigilan ito, nakatakdang makipag-ugnayan ang NFA sa mga mga millers na iwasan muna ang magtaas ng presyo ng bigas.
