Libreng edukasyon sa mga batang may kapansanan isinulong sa Senado

Isinusulong ni Senador Sonny Angara ang panukalang batas na mabigyan ng libreng edukasyon ang lahat ng batang may kapansanan sa buong bansa.

Sa Senate Bill 1331, inirekomenda ni Angara ang pagtatayo ng Inclusive Education Learning Resource Centers (IELRC)sa lahat ng pampublikong eskwelahan.

Layon ng panukala na makatiyak na lahat ng kabataan na may kapansanan ay makatutuntong nang libre sa mga paaralan mula kindergarten hanggang high school.

Kabilang sa panukala libreng edukasyon ang mga batang may neuropsychological retardation, may learning disabilities, autism, emotional o behavioral disorder, may diperensya sa pandinig at paningin, mga may kapansanang pisikal at iba pang di pangkaraniwang kalagayan.

Bibigyan ng scholarship, allowance at libreng transportasyon, pagkain, libreng aklat at maaari ring sumailalim sa student loan programs, training programs, at iba pang insentibo na may kinalaman para sa kanyang edukasyon ang mga sakop ng panukala.
