Isang anti-corruption unit ang binuo ng Bureau of Customs para wakasan ang katiwalian sa loob ng ahensya.
Inanunsyo ito ni Customs si Commissioner Isidro Lapeña bilang pagsunod sa direktiba ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
Mandato ng binuong Interim Internal Affairs and Integrity Unit (IIAIU) na tuklasin ang mga katiwalian sa BOC, ang mga tao sa likod nito at sampahan ng kaukulang kaso ang mga ito.
Pangungunahan ito ni Lapeña at bubuuin ng isang abogado, dalawang special investigators at tatlong administrative staff bilang miyembro.
Kasama sa unang hakbang ang anti corruption unit ay magsagawa ng lifestyle check ang mga kawani at opisyal ng boc.
Kaugnay nito, makikipag ugnayan ang nasabing grupo sa Office of the Ombudsman, National Anti-Corruption Commission ng Office of the President at Revenue Integrity Protection Service ng Department of Finance para malakas ang mga kasong isasampa nila.
