NBI: Pilipinas ginagawang transit hub ng international human trafficking

Pumasok na rin ang National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) sa imbestigasyon ng sunud-sunod na pagpasok sa bansa ng Middle Eastern nationals na may gamit na Belgian at Spanish passports.

Ito ay matapos na humingi ng tulong ang Bureau of Immigration sa NBI.

Ayon kay Immigration Port Operation Division Chief Red Marinas, partikular na ini-imbestigahan ng NBI ang ilang airline at airport employees na posibleng kasabwat ng international human trafficking syndicate.

Sinabi ni Marinas na ang sampung mga dayuhan na kanilang naharang sa NAIA ay sakay ng Thai Airways at Malaysian Airlines.

Ginagamit aniya ng sindikato ang Pilipinas bilang transit hub patungo ng United Kingdom lalo na ay may direct flight na mula Manila patungo ng UK.

Sa nakalipas na tatlong linggo, sampung mga dayuhan na may gamit na pekeng Belgian at Spanish passports ang naharang ng immigration officers sa NAIA.

Ito ay kinabibilangan ng pitong Iranians, isang Somalian at dalawang Chinese nationals.
