PDEA, magkakaroon ng karagdagang 100 drug-sniffing dogs sa 2018

Magkakaroon ng 100 drug-sniffing dogs ang Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) sa susunod na taon.

Bahagi ito ng pagpapaigiting ng kampanya ng ahensya laban sa pagpasok ng iligal na droga sa cargo terminals sa bansa.

Ayon kay PDEA Director General Aaron Aquino, ang 100 narcotic detection dogs (NDDs) ay sasailalim sa training na nagkakahalagang 500,000 piso kada isa.

Sa ngayon, mayroong 52 NDDs, at 57 handlers ang K9-unit ng PDEA sa buong bansa.

Samantala, nakipagpulong din si Aquino sa foreign express delivery at domestic courier services para pigilan ang iligal na droga.

Ito ay sa gitna pagkakadiskubre ng mga shabu, cocaine at ecstasy na itinatago sa packages na pumapasok sa bansa.
