Bagong pinuno ng PNP Drug Enforcement Group, pinangalanan na

Pinangalanan na ang magiging bagong pinuno ng Philippine National Police (PNP) Drug Enforcement Group, at ito ay sa katauhan ni Police Senior Superintendent Albert Ignatius Ferro na dating commander ng tinibag na PNP Anti-Illegal Drugs Group.

Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ni PNP spokesperson Chief Superintendent Dionardo Carlos na maalis mula sa pagiging deputy chief ng Firearms and Explosives Office si Ferro para pamunuan ang DEG.

Binuwag ang Anti-Illegal Drugs Group matapos umanong atakihin at patayin noong October 2016 ng mga miyembro nito si Jee Ick Joo na isang Korean businessman.

Magsisimulang manungkulan si Ferro sa posisyon sa Lunes, December 11.

Bukod kay Ferro, ilan pang mga opisyal ang binigyan ng bagong assignments at magsisimula rin sa panunungkulan sa kaparehong araw.

Ito ay sina:

– Police Chief Superintendent Joseph Adnol, na dating pinuno ng PNP Drug Enforcement Group at magiging bagong direktor ng Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA)

– Police Chief Superintendent Cedrick Train, kasalukuyang hepe ng PNP Region 12 at manunugkulan bilang bagong direktor ng Directorate for Integrated Police Operation- Western Mindanao (DIPO-WM)

– Police Chief Superintendent Marcelo Morales, hepe ng Maritime Group na magiging bagong commander ng Police Regional Office 12

– Police Chief Superintendent Rodelio Jocson, na siyang pinuno ng Information Technology Management Services (ITMS) at magiging bagong hepe ng Maritime Group

– Police Chief Superintendent Renato Angara, kasalukuyang hepe ng PNP Region 2 at manunungkulan bilang bagong hepe ng ITMS

Paliwanag ni Carlos, dahilan ng reshuffle ang pagreretiro ng kasalukuyang direktor ng PNPA na si Chief Superintendent Randolf Delfin at ng kasalukuyang hepe ng DIPO-WM na si Police Director Manuel Felix.
