Recruitment ng teroristang grupo at pangha-harass ng NPA, batayan sa martial law extension sa Mindanao

Kinumpirma ni Armed Forces of the Philippines spokesman Major General Restituto Padilla na pagpapalawig pa sa martial alw sa Mindanao Region ang kanilang isinumiteng rekomendasyon kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

Sa pulong balitaan sa Malakanyang, sinabi ni Padilla na hindi lang niya mabatid kung ilang buwan o hanggang isang taon ang naging rekomendasyon ng AFP.

Paliwanag ni Padilla ang patuloy na recruitment ng teroristang grupo at ang tumataas na insidente ng pangha-harass ng New People’s Army (NPA) sa Mindanao ang kanilang naging basehan ng martial law extension.

Base sa talaan ng AFP, 617 na insidente ng pangha-harass ng NPA ang naitala sa Eastern at Western Mindanao Command mula January hanggang November 30 ng taong kasalukuyan.

Ayon kay Padilla, mahalaga na magkaroon ng peace stability sa Mindanao Region dahil ito ang magiging sandalan para sa paglago ng ekonomiya sa lugar.
