Nagsampa ng reklamo sa Office of the Ombudsman ang National Bureau of Investigation laban sa isa sa mga tinaguriang ‘Narco Generals’ na si Retired Gen. Marcelo Garbo Jr. at asawa nito na si Atty. Rosalinda Garbo.
Ayon kay NBI Anti-Graft Division Supervision Agent Nathaniel Ramos, mahaharap ang mag-asawang Garbo sa kasong falsification of public documents, paglabag sa Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees, at paglabag sa Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.
Lumabas sa imbestigasyon ng NBI Anti-Graft Division na mayroong itinatagong kayamanan na hindi kayang ipundar ng lehitimong kita ng mag-asawa, at hindi nila ito idineklara sa kanilang Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Networth o SALN.
Hiniling rin ng NBI sa Ombudsman na isailalim sa forfeiture proceedings ang mag-asawa para mabawi ang mga kwestiyunableng ari-arian ng mga ito, kabilang na ang isang property sa U.S.
Matatandaang isa si Garbo sa mga binansagang ‘Narco Generals’ ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte dahil umano sa pagkakasangkot nito sa kalakaran ng iligal na droga.
