SC Justices pinayagang dumalo sa Sereno impeachment hearing
Pinayagan ng Korte Suprema ang mga mahistrado ng Mataas na Hukuman na ipinatatawag ng House Committee on Justice para dumalo sa impeachment proceedings ni Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno.
Sa deliberasyon ng Supreme Court En Banc Session ngayong araw na ito, unanimous o nagkaisa ang mga mahistrado na present sa court session na padaluhin ang mga justices na pinadalhan ng subpoena.
Kabilang na rito sina Associate Justices Teresita Leonardo-de Castro, Noel Tijam at Francis Jardeleza.
Kasama sa mga pinayagan ding dumalo sa impeachment proceedings sa Kamara de Representantes ang iba pang opisyal ng Korte Suprema kagaya nina Court Administrator Jose Midas Marquez, Supreme Court En Banc Clerk of Court Atty. Felipa Anama at Supreme Court Spokesperson Atty. Theodore Te.
Kaugnay nito, babalangkas ng panuntunan si Senior Associate Justice Antonio Carpio kaugnay ng pagharap ng mga mahistrado sa pagdinig sa Kamara.
Samantala, binigyan din ng Supreme Court En Banc ng go-signal ang pagpapalabas ng mga hinihinging dokumento ng House Committee on Justice pero ang konektadong isyu ay dapat na nadesisyunan na ng Korte Suprema.
Hinihingi ng House Committee on Justice ang presensya ng mga Supreme Court Justices and officials para patotohanan o kumpirmahin ang mga alegasyon ni Atty. Larry Gadon sa kanyang inihaing impeachment complaint laban kay Sereno.
