US Navy plane, bumagsak sa Philippine sea, 3 ang nawawala

Bumagsak sa karagatang sakop ng Pilipinas ang isang US Navy transport plane na may sakay na labingisang katao.

Ayon sa US Seventh Fleet, walo sa mga sakay ng eroplano ang nailigtas na habang tatlo pa ang nawawala.

Patuloy ang search and rescue efforts ng mga tauhan ng US Navy and Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) para mahanap ang mga nawawala pang sakay ng eroplano.

Tiniyak din ng US Seventh Fleet na magsasagawa sila ng imbestigasyon sa pagbagsak ng eroplano habang nagsasagawa ng routine transport flight mula sa Marine Corps Air Station sa Iwakuni patungo sa USS Ronald Reagan na nagsasagawa ng joint exercise kasama ang Japanese forces.

Ang propeller-powered transport plane na C-2 Greyhound ang naghahatid ng personnel at cargo mula sa mainland bases patungo sa mga carrier na nasa karagatan.
