Malacañang hands-off sa kaso sa mga sinibak na opisyal ng gobyerno

Ipinauubaya na ng Palasyo ng Malacañang sa Office of the Ombudsman at sa Anti-Graft Commission ang paghahain ng criminal complaint laban kay dating Dangerous Drugs Board Chairman Dionisio Santiago at sa iba pang opisyal ng gobyerno na sinibak ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte dahil sa isyu ng katiwalian.

Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, tanging kasong administratibo at pagtanggal sa puwesto lamang ang maaring gawing aksyon ng Office of the President.

Dagdag ni Roque, maari namang magsagawa ng preliminary investigation ang Department of Justice, subalit ang resulta nito ay ipapasa pa rin sa Ombudsman para silang pormal na magsampa ng reklamo sa Sandiganbayan.

Matatandanag bukod kay Santiago, tinanggal na rin sa serbisyo ng pangulo sina DILG Secretary Mike Sueno, DICT Secretary Rodolfo Salalima, NIA Administrator Peter Laviña at iba pa dahil sa isyu ng katiwalian.
