P6B na halaga ng illegal na droga, sinunog sa Cavite

Sinunog ng Philippine Drugs Enforcement Agency (PDEA) ang P6 bilyon halaga ng illegal na droga ng kanilang nasabat sa mga isinagawang operasyon.

Isinagawa ang pagsunog sa mga ilegal na droga na tinatayang tumitimbang ng 952.69 kilograms sa Integrated Waste Management Incorporated (IWMI) sa Brgy. Aguado, Trece Martirez City.

Ayon kay PDEA Director General Aaron Aquino, isinapubliko nila ang pagsusunog para maiwasan ang mga spekulasyon na nire-recycle o ibinabalik sa bentahan ang mga nasasabat na illegal drugs.

Ang mga sinunog na ilegal na droga ay ang mga nasabat sa isinagawang operasyon ng PDEA at ginamit na ebidensya sa mga kasong nakasampa sa korte.

Kabilang sa mga ilegal na droga na sinunog ay shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride), ephedrine, cocaine, ketamine, marijuana, benzphetamine HCI, N-benzylpiperazine, zolpiden, ephedrine, propanolol, sodium carbonate, valium, nitrazepam, nalbuphine, clonazepam, alprazolam, midazolam, methylphenidate, MDMA, codeine, pseudoephedrine, expired medicines, at liquid shabu.

Ayon sa PDEA, ang pagsusunog ay bilang pagtugon sa isinasaad ng section 22, Article II ng Republic Act 9165 o Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 at Dangerous Drugs Board Regulation No. 1 series of 2002.
