400 aplikasyon para sa special permit sa mga bus ngayong Undas, pinoproseso pa ng LTFRB
Umabot na sa mahigit apatnaraang aplikasyon para sa special permit with petition ng public utility buses o PUBs ang inihain sa central office ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board o LTFRB.
Ito’y kaugnay sa paggunita sa Undas 2017, lalo’t inaasahan ang malaking bilang ng mga pasaherong bibiyahe, partikular pa-probinsya.
Ayon kay LTFRB spokerson Atty. Aileen Lizada, sa apatnaraan at dalawampung aplikasyon para sa special permit, nasa 1,043 ang bilang ng bus units.
Sa listahan na ibinigay ni Lizada para sa hirit na special permits, 51 applications o 96 bus units ay sa Bicol; 2 applications o 2 bus units sa Mindanao; 260 applications o 616 bus units sa North Luzon; 95 applications o 295 bus units sa South Luzon at 12 applications o 34 bus units sa Visayas.
Sinabi ni Lizada na patuloy na isinasailam sa proseso ang mga aplikasyon.
Kung may ilalabas namang special permit ang LTFRB, ito ay epektibo simula October 30 hanggang November 3, 2017.
Ang special permit ay nagpapahintulot sa bus operators na magpabiyahe ng mga unit sa labas ng kanilang ruta.
Karaniwang humihirit ng special permit para sa mga bus tuwing holidays, gaya ng Semana Santa, Undas, at Christmas season.
