Isnilon Hapilon at Omar Maute, patay na
Kinumpirma ni Department of National Defense (DND) Sec. Delfin Lorenzana na napatay na ang dalawang namumuno sa paghahasik ng terorismo sa Marawi City na sina Isnilon Hapilon at Omarkhayam Maute.
Ayon kay Lorenzana, nasawi ang dalawang lider Lunes ng umaga sa isinagawang operasyon ng militar.
Nagpapatuloy naman ang operasyon ng militar sa iba pang personalidad gaya na lamang ni Malaysian Dr. Mahmoud.
Nasa 22 pa rin ang hawak na bihag ng Maute.
Dahil sa nasabing development, matatapos na sa lalong madaling panahon ang problema sa Marawi.
Gayunman, patuloy pa itong kinukumpirma kaya hindi pa sila makapaglalabas ng opisyal na statement tungkol dito.
“We have received field reports stating that Isnilon Hapilon and Omarkhayam Maute are dead. But we cannot issue any official statement yet pending the confirmation of such report. We will issue appropriate statements related to this soon. Meantime, our units in the frontline are continuing with their offensives to neutralize the remaining terrorists and rescue their hostages to end the crisis in Marawi,” ayon kay Arevalo.
Kumalat na rin ang larawan ng wala nang buhay na si Hapilon.
