11 Indian nationals nawawala matapos lumubog ang sinasakyang barko sa Sta. Ana, Cagayan

Nawawala ang 11 Indian nationals matapos lumubog ang cargo ship na sinasakyan nito sa karagatang bahagi ng Sta. Ana Cagayan, ayon sa Japanese coast guard.

Natanggap ng Japanese coastguard ang distress signal mula sa 33,205 toneladang Emerald Star lulan ang 26 Indian nationals.

Binabaybay ng barko ang karagatan 280 kilometro, silangan ng northern tip ng Pilipinas.

Nasagip ng tatlong sasakyang pandagat na malapit sa lugar ang 15 crew members ng barko.

Ayon sa tagapagsalita ng Japanese coastguard, lumubog na ang naturang cargo ship.

Patuloy namang hinahanap ang 11 kataong nawawala, ngunit nahihirapan ang Japanese coastguard sa rescue operations nito dahil sa bagyo.

Samantala, papalabas na ng Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) ang Bagyong Odette.
