Dalawang hinihinalang child trafficker, naaresto sa Cebu City
Inaresto ng mga awtoridad sa Cebu City ang dalawang suspek na hinihinalang sangkot sa online at child pornography.
Sa pagtutulungan ng Interagency Council Against Trafficking In Persons sa Region 7, Women and Children’s Protection Center (WCPC) ng PNP, Cebu City Police Office, DSWD at International Justice Mission, naaresto ang mga suspek na umano’y ibinubugaw online ang mga bata sa mga kliyente sa labas ng bansa.
Narescue ng WCPC ang dalawang menor de edad sa entrapment operation.
Hinihinala pang inabuso ng isa sa mga suspek ang isang bata sa pamamagitan ng ‘live streaming’ kapalit ng pera.
Natagpuan sa crime scene ang mga smartphones na hinihinalang ginamit sa streaming activities ng mga suspek.
Nahaharap naman sa mga kasong paglabag sa Anti-Child Pornography Act at Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act ang mga suspek.
Sa kasalukuyan, nasa kustodiya na ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region 7 ang mga batang narescue.
