Driver’s license na may 5-year validity, ipamamahagi na ng LTO

Simula bukas, ipapamahagi na ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) driver’s license cards na mayroong 5-year validity.

Sa abiso ng ahensya, bukas araw ng Martes, August 29 2017, ilalabas na ang mga bagong lisensya simula alas 8:30 ng umaga sa LTO Central Office, East Avenue, Quezon City.

Natapos na kasing iimprenta ang mga lisensya na gawa sa polycarbonate plastic at mas may pinaigting na security features.

Una nang sinabi ni Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade, na ang five-year-valid license cards ay ipamamahagi sa nasa 3 milyong drivers na nag-apply o nag-renew ng lisensya nila mula pa noong October 17, 2016.

Hindi pa naman malinaw sa abiso ng LTO, kung maaari na ring makuha ang mga lisensya na may 5-year validity sa kanilang mga satellite office.

Samantala, pinag-aaralan na rin ng LTO na magbuo ng online applications para sa mga driver na walang violations o citations.

Sasapat naman ang suplay hanggang sa 2018 ayon sa LTO.
