Mark Taguba, hindi pa pormal na isinasailalim sa WPP
Hinihintay pa ng Department of Justice (DOJ) ang pormal na aplikasyon ni Mark Taguba, isa sa mga sangkot sa shabu shipment mula sa China, para mailagay siya sa ilalim ng Witness Protection Program (WPP).
Isa si Taguba sa siyam na respondent na inireklamo ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) sa DOJ, dahil siya ang nagproseso at naghanap ng consignee para mailabas ang 6.4 billion pesos na shabu shipment sa Bureau of Customs.
Ayon kay Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre, maaaring maging state witness si Taguba kung lumabas na hindi siya “most guilty” sa krimen.
Kinakailangan magsumite ni Taguba ng salaysay para mapasailalim siya sa provisional coverage ng WPP kung sakaling gustuhin nito mag-apply.
Dadaan pa rin sa masusing pag-aaral ang gagawing salysay ni Taguba upang malaman kung nararapat nga ba siyang mailagay sa ilalim ng WPP.
