Fast-food chains, tiniyak na ligtas kainin ang kanilang mga manok

Pinawi ng fast-food giants na Jollibee Food Corporation at McDonald’s Philippines ang pangamba ng publiko matapos ang pagkumpirma ng Department of Agriculture sa kaso ng bird flu sa Pampanga.

Sa statement ng Jollibee at McDonald’s, tiniyak nilang ligtas kainin ang kanilang mga manok at hindi sila apektado ng avian flu incident sa bayan ng San Luis.

Maging ang San Miguel Purefoods, Max’s Group at Bounty Agro Ventures, na nag-ooperate sa Chooks-to-Go at Uling Roasters ay nagsabing ligtas din ang kanilang produkto.

Ayon sa Jollibee Foods Corp., na parent company ng Jollibee, Mang Inasal, Chowking, Greenwich, at Burger King Philippines, ang kanilang poultry suppliers ay nagnegatibo na sa nasabing sakit.

Samantala, ang McDonald’s Philippines, tiniyak na sumusunod sila sa international at local food safety standards.
