35 panukalang batas, bibigyang prayoridad ng Senado at Kamara

Nasa tatlumput-limang bills ang napagkasunduang ipasa ng mga mambabatas bilang bahagi ng kanilang priority bills para sa ikalawang regular session ng 17th Congress.

Nagpulong ang top four officials ng Kongreso at Senado, sa pamumuno nina House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez at Senate President Koko Pimentel para pagdesisyunan ang mga priority measures.

Kasama rin sa pulong sina Majority Leader Tito Sotto at Minority Leader Franklin Drilon para sa Senado at Majority Leader Rodolfo Fariñas, Minority Leader Danilo Suarez, at Quirino Congressman Dakila Carlo Cua para naman sa House of Representatives.

Ayon kay Suarez, kabilang sa priority bills ay ang tax reform package, traffic emergency powers, at pagtatanggal ng endo o contractualization.

Natanggal naman sa listahan ang pagbabalik ng death penalty.

Inihayag naman ni Fariñas na napagkasunduan ng mga lider ng Kongreso at Senado na ipasa para maging batas ang mga priority bills sa loob ng ikalawang regular session ng 17th Congress.

Nagtakda rin sila ng four-quarter timeline.

Ang first quarter ay simula noong nakaraang Lunes hanggang October, second quarter naman sa November hanggang December, third quarter simula January hanggang March ng 2018, at May hanggang June 2018 naman ang fourth quarter.

Kasama rin sa mga piority bills ang proposed revision ng Konstitusyon, Bangsamoro Basic Law, at Minimum Wage Law, ngunit wala itong nakatakdang schedule.
