DOTC kumuha ng British firm para maibsan ang problema sa Runway congestion sa airport

Isang British consultancy firm ang kinuha ng Department of Transportation and Communications para magsagawa ng malawakang pagsusuri sa problema ng air traffic congestion.

Ayon kay DOTC Sec Emilio Abaya, kinuha ang serbisyo ng NATS, o National Air Traffic Service na kilala sa buong mundo bilang eksperto sa air traffic management.

Ang NATS ang nakatulong sa paglutas ng flight congestion problem sa Dubai, Singapore at Heathrow Airport.

Ang NATS din ang kinuha para mas mapalawig ang runway capacity ng HK Intl Airport ng 30ng porsiento, at sya rin nagdisenyo ng Al Maktoum Intl Airport sa Dubai at ngayon ay syang may hawak ng Singapore Changi Airport.

Ayon kay Abaya, bahagi ang programa sa 66 na milyong pisong NAIA Runway Optimization Project na naglalayon na maparami sa animnapu o 60 mula apatnapu o 40 ang air traffic movt sa NAIA para maibsan ang congestion at pagkaantala ng mga flights.
