‘Constitutional Bangsamoro country’ suportado ni Duterte
Ipinangako ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa mga Moro na sususportahan niya ang pagtatayo ng “constitutional Bangsamoro country.”
Sa kaniyang talumpati sa turnover ceremonies para sa bagong draft ng Bangsamoro Basic Law, tiniyak niyang wala siyang tututulan sa mga probinsyon basta’t ito ay naaayon sa Saligang Batas at sa mga hangarin ng mga Moro.
Inilarawan ni Duterte ang seremonya bilang isang mahalagang hakbang sa pagwawakas sa galit, kawalan ng tiwala at hustisya na nakakaapekto sa buhay ng milyun-milyong Pilipino.
Binibigyang buhay aniya ng panukalang BBL ang mandato sa 1987 Constitution kaugnay ng pagtatayo ng isang tunay na autonomous region sa Muslim Mindanao.
“The draft BBL embodies our shared aspirations of a peaceful, orderly and harmonious nation after decades of armed struggle and violence. We will come up with a constitutionally consistent legal instrument that will lay the foundation for establishing the real and lasting peace in Mindanao,” ani pa Duterte.
